HOW TO ACHIEVE RADIANT SKIN ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

Meredith-Edward-581

People often ask me what to do in order to achieve perfect skin on their wedding day. There is a misconception that it comes down to a terribly expensive product filled with crushed pearls and sea water from a magic ocean. These things can definitely help the makeup sit beautifully on the skin but the secret to radiant, youthful, clear skin is below;

Essential Fatty Acids

In order to achieve glowing skin on your wedding day you need a) a good makeup artist and b) to start from within. Good fats such as fish, avo’s and nuts will hydrate your skin more than any expensive cream will claim to do.

Filtered Water

Not only does filtered water taste and smell a whole lot better than non filtered but it removes baddies such as toxic metal salts, hormones and pesticides. Try not to over do it on the water.

Ancient Grains

Grains such as millet, quinoa, amaranth and brown rice keep you full and can help fight sugar cravings, tuck into some at every meal

Avoid Sugar

Sugar literally makes you fat, grumpy and old. It results in a burst of inflammation throughout the body. Inflammation produces enzymes that break down collagen and elastin, resulting in sagging skin and wrinkles. Not to mention it strips your body of nutrients.

Excersise

Moving! Walking, running, cycling, swimming, zumba (don’t try alone) anything that you like doing will increase blood flow which helps nourish skin cells and keep them vital. Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body, including the skin. Yoga is a personal fave of mine!
